Cijin Island Free Walking Tour

Ferry, fort, lighthouse — and the sunset at the end of it

2 hrs · 15:0017:00Up to 12 peopleCijin Island

The ferry to Cijin is one of the great five-minute journeys: scooters, schoolkids, and a view of the container terminal that explains this whole city in a single glance.

On the island we climb to the Qing fort and the British lighthouse, look down over the harbour mouth, then come back through the temple street and the seafood market. We time it so the last stretch is the walk along the black-sand beach with the sun going down over the strait.

This is a real free walking tour. There is no charge and no obligation — tip at the end if you had a good time.
